Dr. D. Bruce McMahan Charities Philanthropy and Patronage

Dr. Bruce McMahan is an ardent advocate of community involvement and support. Spanning the whole world, his endeavors have touched the lives of people from Asia to America. His beliefs in personal volition built on a foundation of community support for education are re-enforced by the success of his activities.

Dr. Bruce McMahan believes that too often people define themselves by negation, by what they are not. We, as a whole, should find positive ways to understand ourselves, and say 'I am this.'

McMahan has always pushed and molded the world manually. As a teenager he sawed the roof off a 1955 Studebaker to make a convertible. With more accomplishments his will and effect have also grown. He's an important supporter of The Poverty Alleviation through Community Empowerment (PACE) project, designed to help educate people in abject poverty.

Bruce is one of the leading financiers and organizers of the Conservacion Patagonia, a massive, ambitious project to ensure the intact survival of South American ecosystems by acquiring and protecting privately owned wildlands, and ultimately returning these landholdings to the public domain for permanent protection in the form of national parks or reserves.

The National Cristina Foundation (NCF), so named after his daughter, supplies computer technology and training to people with disabilities, students at risk, and economically disadvantaged persons. It provides them the opportunities to lead more independent and productive lives.
